Story
Thanks to fantastic support we have raised over £6,000 in the last 2 years for charities including BHF, Cancer Research and Alzheimer's. With your help we hope we can achieve something similar in 2016.
This year we will mainly be cycling up mountains in the Pyrennees (550 odd miles with more climbing than I care to recall) over a week, using old people's legs!
The build up to our Pyrennean challenge in June has already started.
Late April we will be tackling Amstel Gold (150 miles in a day), with us both cycling Liege-Bastogne-Liege the following weekend (170 miles and 15,000 feet climbing in a day for Carl). These will be far and away the biggest challenges to date. If we can complete these, we hope the Pyrennnees might look after themselves.
Unfortunately, we will be reliant on our own legs, which are at least a year older than this time last year.
Anything we can persuade you to donate will support Shelter and two other charities nominated by CAC, who organise the June event.
Through CAC, we thought Shelter was an apt charity to nominate because our three offspring are all of an age where having a roof over their head is of concern. While they might suspect that we will tire of their presence under our roof at some point, their stress pales in comparison to the real struggle of many people who dream of having any roof. We would like to do something for them and would be extremely grateful if you could help by donating.
