Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 10 June 2011 my husband Stuart was in a road traffic accident and was airlifted to hospital. Unfortunately he died from his horrific injuries. My life was turned upside down and since Stuarts death I have wanted to be able to do something to raise money for the air emergency services. Seeing what they do, day in day out is truly remarkable.
Magpas (The Emergency Medical Charity) is my chosen charity and I have registered to do a sponsored skydive on behalf of Magpas in Stuart's memory on 30th June 2012.
The aircraft will take me to a minimum of 12,000ft where I will exit securely harnessed to my instructor!!
The freefall will be at around 120mph for approximately 40 seconds. The parachute will be deployed at around 5,000ft so we can parachute back down to the ground and land in one piece, hopefully!
I know I am not going solo but for a person that does not like flying, hates heights and confined spaces I think this is a huge challenge. I would like to raise as much money as possible, after all we never know when anyone of us, or our loved ones may need these services.
