Story
I can move my legs again! Thank you to everyone who sponsored me to sit still for 24 hours to raise funds to complete a school in Uganda, a children's home in Malawi and the second floor of a church in Albania.
The photo was taken at the halfway point, 12 hours into the sit still, which I can only liken to being on a long-haul flight, only without the luxury of stretching your legs in the corridor and doing a trolley dance with the air hostess! Apologies to anyone I'm due to have a sit-down meeting with in the next few days, you may well find me on my feet!
Thank you for your contribution which will make a massive difference in the lives of the communities where PFJ are working. I am looking forward to visiting Uganda and Malawi in October and bringing back some great reports of how your support is being used. A sincere thanks.
Those of you who know Carla, will appreciate that she is always on the move! So it was a real challenge for her to do nothing for 24 hours, in order to raise money for communities in Africa and Albania.
The Sponsored Sit Still is part of a month of fundraising for PFJ which aims to generate £10,000 for the completion of St Mark's School in Buwasunguyi, Uganda, and the second Hannah's Children's Home in Blantyre, Malawi. It will also raise funds for interior work on King's Church and Community Centre, Fushe-Arrez, Albania.
