Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Thought it was time for a personal challenge given  it is 7 years since the last one.  This year Dobbies Garden Centres Ltd (my employer) celebrates 150 years of trading.  To mark this occasion we are participating in a 2000 mile cycle around the UK.  We will be visiting all 35 of our stores in a relay with over 200 of us participating.

My part is Kings Lynn to Chesterfield - a ride of approx 110 miles. Hi to all my friends in Norfolk.  I set out from Kings Lynn on Wednesday 17 June and try to cycle as far as I can but definately a minimum of 25 miles.

I have been in training for six weeks and even hired a bike whilst on holiday in Crete to get in some miles.  My longest ride so far has been 18 miles and I have a sore bum.  With all this training I hope to lose some weight and will donate £3 myself for every pound that I lose.

We are fundraising for Wildlife Trusts as we share many of the same values.  If you would like to support my efforts donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
