Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
St Thomas Church Golborne is a stone built Grade II listed building consecrated in 1849 and is the only Anglican licensed place of worship in Golborne. The building remains an important focal point in the community, having a Miners Window as a feature of the Chapel dedicated to the memory of the men who died in the Golborne colliery disaster in 1979.
The Church Roof is in urgent need of repairs and we have been allocated government funding of £78 000 for this purpose but there is a shortfall of £40 000 to repair the roof and re-plaster and paint portions of the interior.
Our members are trying to raise this money in many ways and this page is to facilitate your giving to this appeal without having any further pressure put on you. The funds will be collected by the Diocese and passed on to us .
You will see various fundraising activities on this page in the next few months and any donations would be appreciated.
