Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Carol's Firewalk JustGiving page.
On the 6th November I (Carol) walked barefoot over red-hot wood embers measuring around 800 degrees at Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium. After our intensive 2 hour training, we were all ready to face the challenge. We ventured into the car park,to be greeted by 'the fire' the heat was intense, as we stood along side it being taken through the final steps before venturing onto the 'embers'. This was probably the craziest thing I have ever done, but that feeling will stay with me, most probably forever!
The event expertly ran by Time4Change and their instructor Cliff Mann has spent 3 decades guiding thousands of people over hot coals and he is recognised as the most experienced firewalking instructor in the UK. Cliff says’ A firewalk is the most inspirational journey you will ever undertake. It is as the name suggests a bare foot walk over red hot wood embers measuring around 800 degrees. No tricks, no special effects. Just you and the fire’.
