I did it ...,..., 

I chose swimming as my challenge when my mental health deteriorated and the Dr said that physical activity would help me.  I can't write here what I thought at that moment but suffice to say it was not polite!  That was over a year ago and I now admit he was right.  Starting slowly I have built up my stamina to complete an open water swim for the charity Mind.  I dedicate this event to my husband Steve and our girls Rachel & Helen who at times have not recognised their wife/mum.  All our family have been brilliant and continue to root for us.  My virtual and face to face friends have provided me with some normality and even some laughs.  My work colleagues are just the most supportive group of professionals I have ever met. 

The NHS has proved itself once again to be there when needed and charities like Mind provide invaluable support.  Any donation whatever amount is really welcome so get your pennies out of that jar.....)
