Story
At Just 52yrs old my Mum was diagnosed with Cancer in her stomach and liver in february 2011 and was told she would only have months to live, devasting news for us all, but she was brave and was so determined to beat the horrible life changing disease that effects so many people, not just the victims but the family and friends too.
She started to receive chemotherapy and twelve months later after going through all the ups and downs, things were looking positive, we were told she whad responded really well to treatment with the cancer reducing and to go away and spend some time having fun and enjoy a few months break...
three days later she was rushed into hospital with severe headaches and sickness, and we were then told the cancer had found its way to her brain, what followed was a whirlwind of emotions and ups and downs, visits to hospital it completely rocked our world and over the course of these few weeks she rapidly deteriated and unfortunately she couldn't fight any more and it took her from us.
Words are simply not enough to describe the impact my mum had on everyone who was touched by her in their lives, she really was an angel, always thinking of others, always willing to help, and above all a wonderful loving and caring wife, mum, nan and friend who will be sadly missed by all. She had completely organised and arranged by herself through the course of the year a charity prom at the end of april to raise funds for charity, this is just a snip of the sort of woman she was, unfortunately she never made it far enough.
During the late stages of her life she was cared for at home by us her family with the aid of Katherine House Hospice, a charity that relys on donations to provide such amazing care, whom were truly remarkable to us, and were there for us over the last few weeks every step of the way.
