Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I'm taking part in the Windsor Great Park Charity Horse Ride with my trusty steed Captain Lennox to help raise funds for Windsor Lions Club.  I'll be riding with my friend Sophie Conway and her four legged partner Ermelo.

Windsor Lions Club is part of Lions International, the largest community service organisation in the world. Worldwide there are about 43,000 Lions Clubs in over 180 countries. There are more than 1.4 million members. Windsor, like all other Lions Clubs, has the motto “we serve”. Windsor Lions holds several major fund raising events each year, and uses funds raised to provide a variety of services within the local community.


Windsor Lions was established in 1961 and they have raised funds in excess of £2m by organising events and corporate sponsorship, including: Charity Auctions, Golf days, Quiz Nights, Race/Casino evenings, Obstacle Horse Ride, Marathon Row on the Thames and Swimathons. There are about 30 of us in the club give or take.

They serve the community by supporting local people in need; Youth projects; Senior Citizens groups; Mencap; provision of Sports Facilities for the Handicapped and Holidays for the elderly. These are just some of the ways in which The Lions Club of Windsor offers support.
