Story
Hello everyone,
Whoever has known me for longer than 10 mins will know that I'm a gym-PHOBIC. Exercise? No. Sweating? Definitely no!
So when my best friend told me that she's going to run the Hamburg Marathon with only 6 months of preparation time, I thought to myself: if she can do it, I can do it too!
Given the gargantuan effort to run the Hamburg Marathon in just under 6 hours (it's, 42 km, people, K-I-L-O-M-E-T-R-E-S!!!), I feel that I can go the literal extra mile and do something good with my actions.
Hence I decided to raise money for the Medical Aid for Poland Fund, which provides medical assistance and funding to Polish hospitals, hospices and childrens organisations.Given my family origins and my close links to the country and it's history, this charity was the perfect choice. It was founded in 1981 after the Solidarity movement rose in Poland and eventually toppled the Communist Regime (which btw, was the topic of my dissertation as well)
Any donation given, no matter how big or small, would be an invaluable help and will make a big difference to someone's life in Poland.
Many thanks in advance! Dzienkuje bardzo i pozdrowienia!
Caro
