Story
I’m leaving the bubble of Radlett and without Ian by my side, to help raise money for an exceptional cause. My biggest challenge yet is trekking to Machu Picchu located nearly 4,200m above sea level. I will be trekking the IncaTrail in Peru; walking for up to 8 hours a day for 9 days and there will no be luxury hotels or Starbucks along the way! Blisters, pulled muscles, altitude sickness, breathlessness and insect bites have all been guaranteed!
Grief Encounter is one of the UK’s leading child bereavement charities providing services and support to bereaved children, young people and their families. 1 in 29 children in the UK under 16 years old will suffer the death of a parent. I feel convinced that my daddy could have benefited from the life changing support that Grief Encounter provide to help alleviate the unimaginable pain.
To make the trek worthwhile I need your help. I am hoping to raise £5,000 to help support the charity and am asking if you will sponsor me to enable me to reach my fundraising target and, in turn, to help Grief Encounter to continue to support as many bereaved children as possible.
