Hello Everyone,

As we all know staying fit and healthy is important to living a long and happy life, regardless of whether or not you are HIV positive. I have just arrived back in South Africa to continue volunteering for the amazing organisation The Africaid Trust, which through its Whizzkids United programme helps children effected by HIV to stay fit and healthy through their services such as HCT (HIV Counselling and Testing), feeding programmes, football teams and empowerment programmes.

Taking inspiration from the fantastic programmes at the Whizzkids United Health Academy, I am going to be starting a weight loss challenge on the 16^th March, which also happens to be my 25^th birthday!

I will be not only eating well but also joining in a range of our activities to help me shift those pounds! This will include our mixed gender football league, our Game Changers Youth Employment Programme daily fitness sessions, the girls and boys football team training and general fun on our FIFA Football for Hope pitch, and don’t worry I will provide photographic evidence!

What I ask of you is to support me, and Africaid, by generously sponsoring me £ for my lbs! During the 12 week challenge my aim is to loose 15lbs which is about 7kgs!

Each week I will keep you updated on my progress and activities that will help me reach my target!

So please wish me luck and donate generously as every penny or pound will really make a difference to the young people that use the Health Academy each and every day to help them lead healthy, positive lives.
