Event: Guildford Cathedral Abseil, on 11 June 2017
We work with homeless and vulnerable adults to improve their quality of life & welfare

Story

I've volunteered to abseil down Guildford Cathedral on the 11th June to raise money and awareness for the Vine Centre in Aldershot.  The Centre is a charitable organisation which provides valuable support to people in North East Hampshire who are homeless due to mental ill health, long term unemployment, domestic abuse or substance misuse by offering counselling, advice and practical support to help reduce the social isolation caused by homelessness.

My one and only previous abseil experience was over 30 years ago and I hated it, however this time 'it' just might be the easy part, assuming I survive the 249 steps to the top of the 160ft Bell Tower!  Once up there and, if I'm still breathing, apparently there's an amazing view before stepping off backwards for the journey down.  Easy you say, but I don't like heights!

Please donate what you can and thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
