Story
In February Col lost his battle with Leukaemia, at just 35 years old.
Colin was a friendly rocker, an all-weather biker and a true gentleman. His loss, at such a young age, has been felt by hundreds of people from family to friends to drinking buddies to colleagues to acquaintances. He was one half of the happiest, nicest couples you could ever wish to meet. He always had a funny story to tell, always an ear to listen. No-one had a bad word to say about him, he was one of the few people you can say was genuine, and genuinely nice. We had some great times, and a lot of great fun. He was always on the dance floor rocking out given the chance!
The Candice Colley Foundation helps those with leukaemia and their families. Since I missed Col's tribute rock night, I wanted to do something else to help with fundraising.
Helena & Colin became supporters when Col received a spirit lifting Christmas gift, including a care package of some really thoughtful, comforting items during his chemotherapy.
The foundation has since grown, and they now offer support and grants to help families with the financial strains of hospital visits and stays.
They are a small charity, but they do important work for people going through the worst of times. I want to help Helena continue with these fantastic fundraising efforts.
For those who don't know, I'm scared of heights, so I thought it'd be a fantastic challenge to chuck myself off a building.
