Story

Celgene has supported the work of World Child Cancer since 2011 and we have developed a really close relationship becoming their major official corporate sponsor last year. The work they do for children with cancer in developing countries around the world is truly amazing and I am proud of the difference we have made.

This year we are taking our commitment to the next level. Our all girl Celgene team of 6 -  Sam Pearce, Karen Tyrrell, Kate Rooney, Heidi Schofield, Fiona Duncan and Jacqui Harris will be cycling across Malawi from the capital city Lilongwe to the 2nd city Blantyre, 500km on dirt tracks in 5 days.

We will be visiting two of world child cancer hospitals at the start and the end of our ride, an opportunity to see firsthand the critical work the team there do as well as deliver some much needed medical provisions and supplies.

We aim to raise over £11,400 which will make a massive difference to this small but impactful charity. Please help us help them by clicking on this link and sponsoring our team.

In developing countries fewer than one in 10 children with cancer are diagnosed, treated or given pain relief. World Child Cancer improves cancer care for some of the world’s poorest children by creating international twinning partnerships between medics, hospitals and parent support groups.
