Story

Anna Swims The Channel....

Myself and seven friends will be taking part in a relay swim of the English Channel at the end of September. The swim will take place between September 23rd - 28th (basically you get a window and then they call up the night before to tell you!)

It'll take us around 12-14 hours and despite being slightly warmer post summer, it'll still be freezing!

But why am I doing this? It's to raise money for the new charity, Holy's Home for Children, to help us create an orphanage for a community in Ghana.

Holy's aim is to raise money and awareness so that step by step we become closer to the goal of creating a fully self-sustainable home where children are safe and supported. They also continue to support the local community in which the project is located, first by creating jobs, supplying clean safe drinking water and other activities to benefit the children and community as a whole.

Holy's have paired together with Challenge12 (www.challenge12.co.uk) for it's fifth and final year in order to raise the £20,000 needed to complete this project. For my part I will be swimming the Channel (just one of the 12 challenges running this year).

I really need your support and generosity to help me smash my target!

Thank you!!!
