Story
My name is Charlie and I have recently come home from an amazing trip to Orlando Florida. I was lucky to be chosen to go on the trip with a charity called Dreamflight. I was nominated by my doctor at Glenfied hospital.
Dreamflight take 192 UK seriously ill children to disneyland every year. And this year was their 25th anniversary.
I met some great people and made lots of new friends, who like me spent a lot of time in hospital. Ive had that many operations now ive lost count !!. My mum and dad thinks its about 14. I know ive had two this year. One was at Great Ormand Street and they say there is nothing else that they can do for me other that a heart transplant. Cant say im looking forward to that one.
Anyway back to Dreamflight I would like to raise £10k for them so that more children can benefit from a fantastic holiday. If you would like to have a look at what they do you can go onto www.dreamflight.org or even itv.com and type in central tonight dreamflight and you will be able to see us having fun at seaworld. And see me being interviewed.
Its hard to explain in words what it feels like to feel completely part of a group. With nobody staring at you because you look different or are in a wheelchair. One afternoon I was so tired I fell asleep in my chair for three hours. When I woke up no one commented on me being asleep everyone understands.
Please donate as much as you can to help make a difference to lots more uk children and give them the chance to experience the trip of a lifetime. Every penny counts !!!
