Story
This page is in memory of our beautiful baby boy, Charlie Ethan, who was sadly born asleep on the 29th June 2011.
This was obviously an incredibly difficult time for us but one that was made more bearable by the doctors and midwives at the hospital.
The hospital are trying to raise funds to introduce a Baby Bereavement Suite at the hospital which will be used by families such as ours. This will mean that families in the same situation as uswill be cared for in a private, quiet room giving parents space and privacy.
** I can happily say that our fundraising has now contributed to the completion of this suite which has been named "The Butterfly Suite". Such events are very personal and private times and this facility will help families like ours to continue to be cared for in privacy.**
Although the suite has been completed our fundraising will continue. The hospital provided us with keep sakes / momentos for Charlie such as a memory book with photos, a baby blanket, hand & foot prints, and a set of framed foot casts which we will treasure forever. Of course these items cost money and without fundraising the hospital would be unable to provide these items which are so very important to bereaved parents and help with the grieving process, these funds will now ensure that all families who have to face what we did will also get these precious items for their baby.
This is an amazing cause and one that is obviously very close to our hearts. Please dig deep and give what you can (if you cannot donate now please click on the "remind me to donate later" button). We are so grateful for any donations people can give to support this great cause, every bit helps, thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Katie & Graham, Mummy and Daddy to Charlie.
