I am running for ACTSA to raise money for the invaluable work they do within Southern Africa. 

One project they fund and where your money will be going is Dignity! Period.

Imagine having to go without sanitary protection to be able to buy basic items such as food and clothing. This is the problem facing many Zimbabwean women today. Due to the economic situation within Zimbabwe, proper sanitary protection is expensive and many women resort to using unhygienic alternatives such as newspapers, rags, leaves and bark. This leads to infections, infertility and causes social embarrassment. Many women cannot go to work and girls cannot go to school when they have their period. 

What ACTSA does.

ACTSA works in close partnership with the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions.

Together, they raise awareness and funds to provide the women of Zimbabwe with safe and hygienic sanitary protection.

Since 2005, ACTSA have distributed more than seven million free sanitary products.
