Story
On the 9th of April 2014 Wayne and I welcomed our daughter Arlia Imogen Griffiths into the world and what an entrance she made! Arlia arrived kicking and screaming but it quickly became clear she needed some extra care and attention and she was taken to the Neonatal Ward in North Tees Hospital straight from the delivery room and stayed in Intensive Care for what proved to be the hardest four days of our lives.
After ten days of intensive treatment on the ward we were over the moon to finally get the all clear and get her in our arms and take her home and we haven't stopped cuddling her since.
Whilst those ten days were indescribably difficult we know how lucky we are to have had such a positive outcome. The ward and team were amazing and we wanted to do something to thank them, but what do you possibly give a team of people who gave you your daughter back? We have therefore decided to raise some money to donate back to the ward in Arlias name to thank them for the amazing work they do and help them to continue their amazing work in the future.
We are organising a number of events and activities to raise money including a JustGiving page. So get your hands in your pockets and give any that you can. Any money at all will be greatly received and used for such an amazing cause.
Thank you all.
Love,
Arlia and her family xx
