It's a rare thing to be able to celebrate kindness without woolly concepts and platitudes.

It's also an important thing.

We're in a time of discontent and dislocation where many people are focussing on the things that make us different in order to keep what they know safe from change.

Sometimes it takes an opportunity outside your own control to help see things afresh and make new decisions.

People United make these opportunities happen:

they refresh brain waves without swimming in abstract concepts

they give people food to feed new ideas, new behaviours and new futures

they practice what they believe in individually and collectively and I for one would like to see them do more for longer in more places...
