Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've always wanted to run a marathon and thought, being a proud Jerseyman living in London, why not run the one on my doorstep (almost) to raise money for a charity back home? Having friends who have worked with the charity and who who have been clients of theirs, Headway Jersey is an organisation whose work I've been well aware of for some years, and the tireless efforts that they put into helping people in the island who are affected by brain injury. So naturally, I'm really pleased to be able to participate in their fundraising efforts at the London Marathon.
Headway Jersey provides support, information and services - including rehabilitation, social events and outside accompanied visits to help people find their way back into normality, and around 70 people use their services on a weekly basis - proof that it's making a real difference!
Rather than continue on, I'll cut it short here, but suffice to say, I will be training my socks and eating my greens for the next few months as I get into shape for the 26 miler.. if you'd like to support with a donation, no matter how big or small, I won't stand in your way!
