As many of you know this is a cause very close to my heart. It connects with my life experience and dramas that many of you know about some maybe not. If you had told me at 16 years old and no longer able to live at home that I would be celebrating my 50th surrounded by friends and family playing music in a night club all night, I would have said "give me some of what you are drinking/smoking". The reason I made it through those days was because of the caring and practical help of some very special people. They made interventions as key times that helped me make more good choices when bad ones were easier.  Life is like snakes and ladders and anyone who hits more than a couple of snakes one after the other knows you sometimes need help to keep rolling the dice.

Anyway I don't want ANYTHING for my birthday other than good company and your well wishes. So if any of you simply have to gift anything please click here and help the great work of the Foyer Federation. By helping homeless kids keep on studying or working and on the path to long term success no matter what life is currently throwing at them. They are a model for direct action that changes peoples lives.
