Story
On the 20/08/2003 I was involved in a very serious motorbike accident. I was treated at Charring Cross Hospital initially and after being removed from an induced coma I was then transferred to Hillingdon Hospital where I continued my treatment.I had suffered a serious head injury, and because of this and other complicating factors I had lost the ability to walk or speak.
After weeks in a medical ward I was eventually admitted to the Alderborne Rehabilitation Unit. My time there was hard and I had to really push myself to recovery. This would not have been possible but for the staff at this unit. They gave me the confidence I was lacking at the time in order to recover fully. I owe my successful rehab to the dedication and expertise of staff at the Alderborne Unit.
I have kept in contact with the unit since and I am committed to raising money for them by completing the 2016 Virgin London Marathon, which I would not have been able to take part in without them.
Please give generously to this very worthy cause, to help the staff of Alderborne continue to do such valuable work and to whom I owe a debt of gratitude. Your donation will help to put other accident victims back on their feet.
And wish me luck eeeeek.
