I have previously run several ultra marathons for national children's charities - and most recently a hundred mile run to raise funds for my son's school.

I'm looking forward to the prospect of running two consecutive marathons in the Sahara Desert in October 2016 to raise money for Home-Start West Dorset.

As a father who recognises the importance of stable family life to the well-being of children,  I consider it a privilege to contribute to this charity which has a successful track-record in supporting young families.
