We fundraise for our patients to complement existing care and facilities

Story

Chris Dello, Morinna Johnson & Jennifer Sherwood took part in a charity tandem skydive with the RAF Falcon Parachute Display Team on Wednesday 2 May 2012 at Hinton-in-the-Hedges Skydiving Centre, Northamptonshire.

Well we did it...a little later than scheduled, we were due to jump at 2pm, however the weather had other ideas and we finally jumped at 7pm! All three of us came down smiling, so all went well.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped support this fantastic charity jump. So far we have managed to raise £3,337! which is amazing, so thank you all.

We have decided to put the money towards software required by the radiotherapy unit of the cancer ward. The software will automate the systems used to calculate and adjust patients dosage requirements when undergoing the radiotherapy part of their treatment.

My sister in law Kathryn is midway through her cancer treatment and our inspiration for the jump.  A message from Kath, "One thing that has become so clear from this experience is the amount of people who's lives this horrible disease effects, and how incredibly supportive people can be.   I would like to thank all my family, friends and colleagues for their kind words of support.   I am currently half way through my chemo treatment, which is not going too badly, just taking each day as it comes and putting myself in the hands of the pros".
