Story
Chris was a funny, vibrant, loving person who brought joy to everybody he met and who was taken from us far too soon. Instead of sending flowers or gifts, we would ask those who loved him to remember him by donating to The Wetlands Trust.
Chris loved to walk and be outdoors, and he and Angela spent many happy hours visiting the Barnes Wetland Centre, where he especially enjoyed visiting the 'whistling ducks' - when he wasn't stalking swans or being attacked by the Canadian geese :)
When Chris realised that wasn't going to recover from his illness he told us that after death he would like to be cremated and that he would like us to scatter his ashes at the Barnes Wetland Centre where he could be at peace and we could still visit him whenever we would like to.
We hope that with the money raised on this page we will be able to help the Wetlands Trust to continue their conservation and educational work. In addition, we would ultimately like to sponsor a memorial bench for Chris at the Barnes Wetland Centre, something which would bring a smile to his face and give his family and friends an opportunity to visit him in a place of great beauty and serenity.
Thank you for reading, and for remembering a truly special and unique man.
