Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are very grateful for your support and hope that you will help us make a difference to the homeless in Oxford.
St Stephen's House is an Anglican theological college and Permanent Private Hall in the University of Oxford, offering formation, education and training for a variety of qualifications and ministries.
We have decided to take on the challenge of rowing the length of the Thames - 346 miles - in four weeks on a concept 2 indoor rower to help raise awareness of the homeless in Oxford. We are hoping to accomplish this challenge around our academic studies -essay writing, exams and lectures - and our regular House commitments.
The challenge is being undertaken by volunteers from the staff, students and families of St Stephen's House and any resident guests and visitors who can be persuaded to join in!
Your donation will help OxHoP provide:

- Day services for up to 70 people
- A step up project which provides education and other training to enable the homeless to gain confidence, learn new skills and improve physical, mental and emotional well being
- The opportunity to look to the future and make long term plans with residence on the resettlement floor
- Provision of severe weather beds - when the temperatures drop below zero OxHoP provides additional beds and food.
