In 2014 I watched a BBC 2  documentary on the plight of the Saharawi people in the refugee camps in Algeria.  The plight of these people really touched me and I have followed closely the events of these refugees.  This year I decided to do something about it and am in the process of retraining myself from long distance walking to running as I am going to attempt to run the Sahara marathon and raise funds to help towards the education of the young children in the refugee camps.
