<div class="frp-message-body" style="height: auto;"> <p><span style="color: #0000ff;"><em><strong>Claines Church Needs Your Help!</strong></em></span></p> <p><em>We are asking for your help in the preservation of the oldest and most visible building for which Claines is renowned.</em></p> <p><em>A source of pride for all to see and enjoy since the 15th Century, the Church has been consistently maintained and developed, including its alteration and extension in Victorian times, by Aston Webb - its preservation has always been made possible by the generosity of benefactors.&nbsp; Today the Church requires repairs, maintenance and adapting to the current needs of the people of Claines.  Sadly we have no toilet, which is a real problem for those with children, the elderly and those who have had long journeys to reach us and we need an area so that we can offer refreshments after services and meetings</em></p> <p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">To do all this we need to raise funds</span></strong></p> <p> This will cost <strong>&pound;30,000</strong> - which is our first fund raising&nbsp;target!</p> <p>Additionally, there are many other maintenance and improvement projects requiring attention, including work on our windows, roof and stone work.</p> <p><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>To do these we need to create a group of supporters</strong></span></p> <p>We open the Church every day - and we know people enjoy the peace and quiet that the Church offers&nbsp;or &nbsp;everyone enjoys the wonderful building and many look into their own family history stories.</p> <p>Edward Elgar, often visited Claines Church and the grave of his grandparents; we want this wonderful Church&nbsp;to be there for the people of Claines for years to come</p> <p><span style="color: #0000ff;"><em><strong>Thank you&nbsp;for taking the time to visit&nbsp;Claines Church&nbsp;JustGiving page.</strong></em></span></p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
