Fundraising for Annabel's Angels
**Now running Reading half marathon instead of the Ramathon**Having dipped in and out of running throughout my 20s, I've set myself the target of completing a half marathon before I'm 30...With my landmark birthday looming in September 2016, time is running out. I'm doing a half marathon this spring.I want to use my achievement to raise money for a wonderful cancer support charity, Annabel's Angels.I first met volunteers from Derby-based Annabel's Angels in January 2015 when founder, Simon Hancox, successfully applied for the charity to become my work's Charity of the Year. His passion and dedication is infectious. Annabel's Angels work tirelessly to make day-to-day life more comfortable for people living with cancer and to make things easier for their families.Annabel’s Angels offer something different to other charities. Not only do they fundraise to buy vital equipment, but they also pay for the cost of getting to and from treatment, hospital parking fees, and cover the costs of childcare for little ones while mum or dad is in hospital. Annabel's Angels support people when they need it most.I'm planning to complete a 10k race every month in the run up to my half marathon. So if you spot me pounding the streets, please cheer me on and more importantly throw me a pound. Every penny really makes a difference.
