Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. We are taking part in this walk which is happening on Suicide Awareness day because this is a cause close to our hearts. Claire has tried to take her life several times and has, thankfully been unsuccessful and come out the other side of the darkness. Too many lose their lives from suicide though and don't get a second chance to turn things around.

We have chosen to raise money for Second Step because in December last year Claire's mental health care was transferred to a team based within this charity from the NHS, since being in their care she has received outstanding and intensive care which will come to an end in December of this year. She is hoping to start working again early next year and is finally starting to feel in control of the Bipolar Disorder which has been controlling her for her entire adult life. This charity works in many areas of mental health in the west country including with the homeless and deserves our utmost support.
