I am going to run 13.1 miles - further than I've ever run before. I can tell you, with my dodgy feet that is no small matter. 

I'm doing it because I am ashamed of the Government's response to the thousands of people fleeing conflict and poverty and trying to re-build their lives in Europe.  

Luckily, amazing groups like RAY (Refugee Action York) are providing local, practical support to families and speaking up for refugees. I have seen first hand what a lifeline the Sunday afternoon drop-in is. RAY provides English classes, maths tuition for children, a youth group, support, advice and a place to meet. They will do loads of good things with the money you donate!
