Story
Welcome to our Just Giving Page in conjunction with Clare
and Sam’s fundraising for 1 dog at a time rescue UK on Facebook.
I agreed to adopt Molly in January and the whole process was handled very professionally by this incredibly caring charity, two months later she came home with us. It is run solely by volunteers, so every penny raised goes straight to the dogs.
Romania is not a nation of dog lovers, often abandoned and
destined to a life on the streets, starving, diseased and producing unwanted
litters. Locally dog catchers are employed to put them in the public shelter where
a slow death is too often the outcome. Thanks to 1 Dog at a time and their half
way house Happy’s, many dogs like Molly have been rescued and given a better
life, but they need more space as each dog needs
isolating before it can be kennelled and re homed. Currently a project to build
a large isolation block, new kennels and a small surgery is under way and the
aim of this page is to help equip the surgery. To be able to treat the animals
on site and set up a neutering programme will be a fantastic result and
ultimately prevent more of these beautiful dogs entering a world of deprivation
and pain, while caring and ultimately sending those rescued to their Forever Homes.
Please help us succeed, get involved, follow our progress.
Thanks to our first event dog walk and further donations we have currently raised £215.
