Clare was everyone's little sister. I have been friends with her older brother, Michael, for many years now. We'd all go out the same places and Clare would always be there with her own group of friends, brightening up the room with her lovely smile.
Often it is a cliché to say someone is beautiful on both the inside and out, but this has never been more true than with Clare. She was a true angel and touched so many people's lives for the better. Mine included.
Sadly, like so many others, Clare was taken before her time when she lost her battle against melanoma cancer at just 29. She had only been married for a year to her sweetheart, Paul.
In her memory, her family have set up The Clare Daly Foundation to raises awareness of melanoma; supports sufferers; supports access to treatment not available on the NHS; and supports medical research.
I can't do much, but I can ride my bike. It's something that I love to do. So, on Sunday, June 26, I'll be riding from East to West, cycling around 160-miles from Scarborough to Liverpool's Pier Head to help raise as much cash as I can in memory of Clare - everyone's little sister. Please give what you can, everything helps.
