I failed to gain entry to the ride in the ballot despite my husband, daughter and her boyfriend gaining a place.  What was wrong with me? Then I realised that I could gain entry with a charity and happened to find out about the Brentwood Catholic Children's Society. The work I do involves assisting separating parents to resolve issues relating to their children. I appreciate how limited resources are for children who would benefit from support and counselling to help them through difficult life experiences and jumped at the chance to raise money for the Society.
