Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Those of you who know me might be familiar with the fact I have very very very long hair 💁 Since last year I haven't had my hair cut with the intention of growing it for a great cause. I'm hoping my hair donation to The Little Princess trust will help a little girl somewhere have her dream hair in wig form to help her through what would be the most difficult time in her life.

The money I raise will be donated to The Birthmark Support Group to help children born with birthmarks. Two weeks after being born I developed a haemangioma birthmark on the tip of my nose. It is a benign (non cancerous) tumour of cells. A collection of small malformed blood vessels which form a lump in or under the skin. At first my birthmark was small and looked like a small strawberry love heart shape, but it soon grew and let's just say it wasn't long before I thought I might get that call from Santa to lead his sleigh lol

Sometimes it wasn't nice for my Mum and Dad to get the horrible stares from passers by, because they loved me and could see past the birthmark. My mum always insisted it was my little kiss from God and that I was extra special because I had one :) A few years later and a few operations later my nose is almost where it should be (yes on my face obviously) but almost just like anyone else's. I may have to have more surgery when I'm older to correct scarring but that doesn't compare to a child fighting cancer and that's why I've decided to donate my hair to ease a child's suffering and aid their recovery !

Your donations will go to a Charity that helps support families and children with birthmarks most with ones much worse than mine that affect them daily. In June I will have over 30cm cut off and I can't wait to show you all 💇🏼

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
