Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 5th September 2014 Caoimhe was diagnosed with a relapse of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This was an unexpected diagnosis as Caoimhe had been deemed low risk and had been in remission for three & half years. Since then she has undergone intensive courses of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. It has been a long, tiring and worrying year however on the 1st September Caoimhe was taken off her anti-rejection drugs. Along this journey we have depended on many people: family, friends, colleagues and health care professionals. We have also been lucky to have had the support of local charities and it is for this reason I am posting. The Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children have supported us from Caoimhe's first diagnosis in 2009. It is time to pay back and so I will be trekking the Rockies next June to raise funds for them. I would appreciate any donation, small or large. I will be organising events to help raise funds and will be getting fit to enusre I complete the challenge.Thank you for your generosity, visit again to see my progress as I prepare for this challenge
