Despite a miraculous recovery following a brain aneurysm in January last year, I've been left with some difficulties with speech. This charity was recommended to me and joining it has not only helped improve my speech, but it has made me feel much less isolated - something that many people like me suffer with. Dyscover is a specialist charity in Surrey that offers long-term support to people with aphasia, a communication disability most often caused by stroke.
Aphasia is an isolating, frustrating condition which has an enormous impact on individuals and whole families.
Led by Speech and Language Therapists, Dyscover helps people to communicate to the best of their ability, regain confidence and reconnect with life through a programme of conversation groups, courses and social activities.

Dyscover receives no statutory funding and so is entirely reliant on grants, donations and local fundraising. We are extremely grateful to all those supporting us through Just Walk 2016.
