Story

Hi folks,

On Friday the 17th October 2014 I will be hosting a party at The Blue Lamp, Aberdeen. This will be one day ahead of my 50th birthday.

A selection of very fine musicians from near & far will performing for free. From sumptuous acoustic music to sounds that facilitate the shaking of tail feathers. You will be smiling, dreaming, dancing and boogying.

Now I know it’s traditional on such an occasion to give to the birthday girl or boy a gift. I have all that I need so I got thinking…….

Can we raise some money for a great cause?

A little about Aberdeen's UCAN charity:

UCAN “working to make life better for everyone affected by Urological cancer in the North East of Scotland”

Many of us have been touched directly or a friend or family member has been affected by a urological cancer. Urological cancers are more common than many people realise, and account for 1 in 3 of all cancers in men and 1 in 5 of all cancers in men and women.

Please don’t feel obliged to give however it would make me very happy & more importantly be of great help if you would give a donation to Aberdeen’s UCAN charity.

Thank you very much & looking forward to seeing you on Friday 17th October 2014 at The Lampie.

Love Spider Xx

500 people die every year in the North East from Urological Cancers and many more suffer unwanted after effects without appropriate support. These cancers are testicular, prostate, bladder, kidney and penile, they are some of the most curable cancers if detected early enough. UCAN continue to raise funds to highlight awareness of the signs and symptoms of urological cancers and to support sufferers through provision of Scotland's only urological cancer support centre based on Ward 44 at Aberdeen royal Infirmary.
