Story
Firstly, thank you for visting our Thembalitsha page.
Thembalitsha is a charity based in Africa that many of you may not have heard of or know much about. In 2012 we volunteered for The Village of Hope which is one of nine projects that make up Thembalitsha. The Village of Hope provides a safe home for up to twelve children affected or infected by HIV, Aids or TB. They have also set up a sports outreach programme where the children within the surrounding townships are taught important life skills such as team work, personal health and hygiene. Another integral part of Thembalitsha's work is providing education and support groups for adolescents living with these illnesses. Seeing these amazing people in such poverty and without the simple things that we take for granted every day; clean water, working toilets, a roof over our heads and education is heart breaking. Seeing first hand how Thembalitsha changes the lives of those involved has motivated us to continually raise money and awareness.
