Story
During this exhilarating charity cycle challenge for Magic Breakfast. A team of riders from across Coutts will start from the UK's capital, cycle through the English countryside over to rural France and onto the heart of Paris finishing under the Eiffel Tower in just 24 hours! The following day the team will be doing it all again to get back to the UK in the same time frame.
We are supporting this charity as it is in line with our heritage and community engagement programme. The theme of which is the ‘prevention and relief of poverty’. A number of Coutts staff have worked with Magic Breakfast during 2014 and continue to do so through 2015.
Magic Breakfast provides free, nutritious breakfast food to more than 8,000 disadvantaged children in 242 primary schools (of which 127 schools are in London). As well as ensuring that the children don’t go hungry, the breakfast clubs aim to provide an environment in which children can learn, develop and enjoy themselves so they can make the most of their school life. 84p in every £1 donated goes directly to the provision of the breakfast clubs, and each breakfast costs just 22p per child.
