We raise money for bursaries at Oriel to help students financially

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Oriel Midlands Bursary Team (OMB) was formed over 10 years ago, with the aim of raising funds to create 2 bursaries which would allow 2 Midlands' based students per year to study at Oriel when their family finances are not sufficient to do so.

We have now raised nearly £100,000 and have achieved our goal. The money is sufficient to fund 2 students to the tune of £800 per term, but by raising a little more through this walk, we can top the bursaries up and inflation proof them. Any extra will go to purchase much needed sports equipment at Bartlemas.

We call this walk tOMB to tOMB, walking from Gloucester to Oxford. Why tOMB to tOMB? Well, we'll be starting at the tomb of Edward II in Gloucester Cathedral and finishing at the tomb of Adam de Brome in St. Mary's on the High Street in Oxford.

It's a long way - over 75 miles in 4 days, starting on Thursday 28th April and crawling, obviously, in to The Bear around lunchtime on Sunday May 1st.

It's also our last fund raising walk, so let's make it a good one.
