Fundraising for Wingates Band
Story
I am currently a member of the Wingates Band, based in Westhoughton near Bolton. The band operates without any commercial sponsorship, and are currently raising money to allow us to represent the North West area in the National Brass Band Championships at the Royal Albert Hall on October 8th 2016.
So to help raise money towards the cost of this, along with many other events, the band's members are taking part in a 24 hour "Blow-a-thon", where the band will be playing continuously for 24 hours, between 4pm Friday 16th September and 4pm Saturday 17th September.
£1, £5, £100 - any donation, no matter how big or small, would be gratefully received!
