Hi everyone!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  This year I will be running the Berlin Marathon for the fourth time! 

I will be fundraising for Unite Against Cancer (SC043017) once again as this charity has been set up to fund new cancer treatments in Scotland and to educate and inform on cancer prevention. 

It's easy to assume that cancer is something that happens to someone else but according to recent statistics, 1 in 2 people in the UK born after 1960 will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime.* This frightening statistic hit closer to home than ever after my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer back in March of this year.  For this reason, I am more determined than ever to help raise money to fund research that will lead to a cure for this disease.
