For my next trick, I, along with 11 of my esteemed colleagues in the Sustainable Buildings Group (SBG) will be cycling 255 miles of Northern Irish roads, tracks and trails over 3 days for our chosen charity, Cameroon Catalyst.

This is an international development charity which brings together students, engineers and specialists who lend their expertise to help facilitate sustainable development in Cameroonian villages.

This is a cause close to the heart and principles of my work unit, the Sustainable Buildings Group, and as engineers specialising in sustainable development, it is important that we extend our good work to communities which really need it. As developed nations, we have a responsibility to learn from our mistakes and pass on the best practices to the developing world.

Please give whatever you can to this great cause and let us endure the blood (hopefully not too much) and tears to earn your donations.
