Here we go again!

Off on another adventure. No high speed motorcycles or desert heat, this time it's a backwoods canoe trip in the North of Sweden, carrying everything we will need with us and living under the stars, fending for ourselves in the wilderness. It will be a 5 day trip over lakes and rivers, around 20km per day with no outside support, cooking over open fires in true backwoods style. 

We will be completely at the mercy of the elements and we may even bump into a few elk, reindeer or the odd bear or wolf!

The real aim of the trip though is to raise money for one of  our favourite  charities: Odyssey, who are actually responsible for bringing us together in the first place. We first met on an Odyssey course in the wilds of Scotland and it will be our 3rd anniversary during the Swedish trip (everybody say aaawww!) 

Odyssey take cancer patients on an outdoor experience and show them how to enjoy the moment; to stop worrying about the future or dwelling on the past. Using the stimulation of uncertainty and surprise Odyssey takes participants on a five day journey aimed at combating the psychological and emotional devastation caused by cancer. By supporting people to overcome appropriate challenges, (some of them physical, others creative or artistic) Odyssey helps people rebuild their confidence and regain their zest for life.

We are aiming to raise at least £2500 which will pay for two and a half people (!) to benefit from this amazing charity. We will be funding the actual trip ourselves so ALL of the money raised will go to Odyssey. 

So please dig deep to help combat the often overlooked psychological aspects of cancer. We can vouch from personal experience that it is a very worthwhile cause that deserves as much support as we can give them.
