Story
19,334 Feet High!!
This is Kilimanjaro a volcano and the highest mountain in Africa and we, Bill Mackie and Mike Vos, are going to climb it in early July in aid of Build Africa (see My Charity to find out more).
We have been inspired to do so as a result of the efforts of our colleagues at Cripps Harries Hall (www.crippslaw.com) who last year raised for Build Africa enough money to pay for the construction of two new classrooms at the Kong'asis Primary School in the Naivasha district of Kenya.
Bill was fortunate enough to visit the school last autumn (see some pictures below) and see for himself the fantastic impact that these fundraising activities have. The work of Build Africa, whether through improvements to the physical infrastructure or through education and support, is truly transformational. This work changes the lives of impoverished children and in turn changes communities too, not just for the short term but through education for future generations.
Please support us in this wonderful cause and make the hours of training we are doing and our eventual ascent and descent of this awesome mountain in the heart of Africa an achievement never to be forgotten.
Please give generously!!
