John Boulger, Director of Crowndale Foods organised a sponsored swim for himself and some members of Crowndale staff (Lewis and Glenn) along with some of our suppliers to participate in order to raise money for 'Together Against Cancer Trust'. The money raised from the sponsorship will be for a cause which is close to our hearts and I'm sure many of yours.

The 2 kilometre swim was from land to an off shore island off the coast of Burgas, Bulgaria. Our aim is to raise the awareness and prove that there is a life after cancer , not only for the patient but for also their families. The organisations develop support for families before the passing has even occurred as illness within the family evokes strong feelings of loss and change when families are faced with a life limiting illness. Also the guidance provided to deal with the consequences of a serious illness within a family can impact on all areas of our lives.

Also, they assist in the rehabilitation of patients getting back to living a normal life after winning their battles against cancer, providing them with psychological, nutritional and physical procedures to make sure they are back to full health and living a happy lifestyle.

As lots of money gets raised for finding a cure for cancer, charities such as this do get overlooked. As this provides sufferers of the illness with support they need to help them through the course.
