Cubitt House is a locally run family business, our public houses and hotels proudly service the neighbourhoods of Knightsbridge, Belgravia, Pimlico and Marylebone. Each year we endeavour to support a local charity and in 2013 we are proud to be allying ourselves with Westminster Befriend a Family.

Over the course of the year Cubitt House hope to raise £20,000 for Westminster Befriend a Family through sponsored runs and organising our own annual charity auction. We will also be providing support by volunteering and planning ways in which our catering and hospitality skills can be put to use in their Young Peoples Project.

Operating for over 22 years, Westminster Befriend a Family are now a first port of call for families living below the poverty line. Providing practical and emotional support they help to prevent family breakdown and separation and work to steer families in to a position of self-sufficiency and stability.

WBAF also work closely with disadvantaged children. The Young Peoples Project provides much needed social and recreational opportunities for children aged 8 – 16, helping them to achieve their potential, exercise their talents and ultimately to become well rounded and confident adults. Importantly the work of WBAF is about breaking the cycle of poverty and giving families and children the ability and opportunity to look after themselves and stay together.
